Abstract:

Irregular menstruation is a common gynecological problem that plagues many women, impacting not only the physical  health of women, but also their mental health and overall quality of life. While modern medicine offers various treatment options for irregular menstruation, their efficacy can be suboptimal in certain cases. In contrast, traditional Chinese medicine  provides distinct therapeutic advantages. Siwu decoction, a classic Chinese medicine prescription composed of Angelica sinensis, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Paeoniae Radix and Rehmannia glutinosa, is widely used in clinical settings and demonstrates  remarkable efficacy in treating menstrual disorders. In this paper, the mechanism of the four components of Siwu decoction in  the treatment of irregular menstruation was in depth studied, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for further development and  reference. At the same time, it also provides new ideas and methods for the application of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of modern gynecological diseases, which is helpful to promote the development of modernization of traditional Chinese medicine and provide safer and more effective treatment programs for patients with irregular menstruation.
