Traditional Chinese medicine fermentation technology is rooted in ancient fermentation techniques and has been innovated  and developed by incorporating modern biotechnology. In recent years, this technology has shown broad application potential in clinical treatment. The article summarizes the application of fermented traditional Chinese medicine targets specific disease models in tumors, metabolic diseases and neurological disorders. It also analyzes the connection between fermented medicine and diseases through network pharmacology and clinical data. The possibility of personalized fermented traditional Chinese  medicine is discussed.
