Colletodiphenol A, a new phenol derivative isolated from the endophytic fungus Colletotrichum capsici

Abstract

Abstract: A new C6-C2 dimer phenol derivative, colletodiphenol A (1), along with two known C6-C2 phenol derivatives (2,3) were isolated from the endophytic fungus Colletotrichum capsici related to the traditional Chinese medicine Paeonia lactiflora. Their structures were elucidated based on extensive spectroscopic data analysis, including HRESIMS, UV, IR, 1D and 2D NMR. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of the isolated compounds were evaluated, but none of them displayed significant activity.
