Chemical constituents of the genus Pithecellobium: a systematic review

Abstract: Pithecellobium Mart, belonging to mimosoideae taub of Leguminosae family, is widely distributed in tropical Asia and America. Phytochemistry researches reported that the main chemical constituents of Pithecellobium Mart are flavonoids, triterpenoids, steroids, phenolic acids, lignans and phenylpropanoids. The objective of this paper is to summarize the chemical constituents of Pithecellobium Mart for the further research and development of this genus.
