Abstract: A new natural compound: 1-(4-hydroxy-3, 5-dimethoxyphenyl)-1, 2-propanedione (1) and two known compounds: 4-methy-7-hydroxycoumarine (2) , EdgeworosideC (3) have been isolated from the bark of rhizomes of Daphne giraldii Nitsche. The structures of them were determined by means of spectroscopic and chemical methods.
