A new biflavone from the twigs and leaves of Taxus cuspidata Sieb et Zucc.

Abstract: A new compound was isolated from the twigs and leaves of Taxus cuspidata Sieb et Zucc. and identified as 2- (5",7"-dihydroxy-2"- (3′″-hydroxy-4′″-methoxyphenyl-4"-oxo-4H-chromen-8"-yl) -4′-methoxyphenyl) -5-hydroxy -7-methoxy-4H-chromen-4-one. Its structure determination was based on MS and NMR data, particularly 2D NMR spectral methods.
