Anti-diabetic potential of Sufoof-e-Ziabetus-Dulabi in streptozotocin - induced diabetic rats Sunita Shailajan*;Harshada Hande 2015 (6):  121-128.  摘要 ( 905 )   The increasing frequency of diabetes mellitus is distressing and flattering a foremost health problem worldwide, which is mainly connected with hyperglycemia and abnormal lipid profile. Sufoof-e-Ziabetus-Dulabi is a Unani formulation, prescribed for diabetes and renal disorders since ancient times. In the present research work, Sufoof-e-Ziabetus-Dulabi was evaluated for its hypoglycemic effect in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. The efficacy of the formulation was confirmed using blood biochemical and tissue biochemical parameters and the results were compared with a modern hypoglycemic agent. The study revealed that the formulation given orally reduces the blood glucose level and improves lipid parameters in streptozotocininduced diabetic rats. 相关文章 | 计量指标

A series of products were identified as schisandrin (2), 7(18)-dehydroschisandro A (3), iso-schisandrin (4), (-)-gomisin K1 (5). Berberine: New perspectives for old TraditionalChinese Medicine Feng Xu;Yu Chen;Meng Wang;Wei Xu *;Feng Qiu * 2015 (6):  134-139.  摘要 ( 492 )   Traditional Chinese medicines have been used since the origin of human beings to counteract a number of diseases. Among these plant derivatives, berberine, which is probably the most widely distributed, possesses a broad range of therapeutic uses as a promising anticancer leading compound. Recently, more and more reports support the evidence that berberine has anticancer effects, being able to block the proliferation of or to kill cancer cells. Germicidal Efficacy of Common cnidium fruitAqueous Extract in the Laboratory Study Yu Chen;Jingshuai Wu;Lili Zhong;Song You * 2015 (6):  140-144.  摘要 ( 380 )   Common cnidium fruit is widely used as a highly valued medicinal plant to treat impotence, frigidity and skin diseases. In order to investigate the germicidal efficacy of the C. cnidium fruit aqueous extract, suspension quantitative germicidal test was used to carry out the laboratory study. It was found that the aqueous extract of C. cnidium fruit had obvious germicidal efficacy in suspension exposed to Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Escherichia coli ATCC 8099, Bacillus subtilis ATCC 9372, Canidia albicans ATCC 10231, and Aspergillius niger ATCC 16404. Our findings could provide an experimental basis in the selection of appropriate bacteriostatic natural products isolated from C. cnidium fruit in industria factories and research laboratories. 相关文章 | 计量指标
