Abstract: Using column chromatography, ten compounds, including gallic acid (1), p-tyrosol(2), salidroside (3), lotaustralin (4), 6’’-O-Galloylslidroside (5), apgenin 7-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl (1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside (6), isolariciresinol-9-O-β-D-xylopyr-anoside (7), domesticoside (8), eugenyl O-β-apiofuranosyl (1’’-6’)-O-β-glucopyranosi-de (9) and gein (10), were isolated from the dried roots of Rhodiola algida var. tangutica. The chemical structures of these ten compounds were identified on the basis of chemical and physicochemical evidence. Among them, compounds 6 and 8 were obtained from the genus Rhodiolae for the first time, and compounds 4, 5, 7, 9, and 10 were obtained from this plant for the first time.
